My name is Dr. Angela Mosley. I completed my doctorate in Biblical Studies in March 2023. I have been studying the Bible for many years. Throughout my study, I felt that something was missing. I discovered I was looking at the Bible in current times. I was not considering the history, background, and culture of the original readers/audience. My goal is to explain how history and culture will bring about the correct understanding of the Bible to increase the knowledge of how to relate it to current times.

I recommend commentaries, such as the Bible Knowledge Commentary two volume set by Walvoord And Zuck. Each book of the Bible is outlined by a different author. I also recommend using www.blueletterbible.org. On this website you can also read other commentaries as well as do word search. Some words have been translated into various English version, but it is one word in the Hebrew or Greek language. For instance the word love in English has many meaning depending on the surrounding words, but in Greek and Hebrew love has many words and pronouncations depending on the subject.
