Life[1]
Life: Is defined as an animated moving being. The physical body is subject to suffering, illness, toil, death, temptation, and sin.
God’s Unique Life: He is living. Joshua 3:10, Matthew 16:16 God is the creator and maintainer of life. Acts 17:25, Romans 4:17 God is life. Deut 32:40, Jeremiah 5:2 Without God there is no existence. Job 34:14-15 Every life belongs to God. Exodus 20:13, Deut 5:17, Genesis 4:10, 19-24 The Old Testament emphasizes the quality of life. We live “on every word that comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4 All are to make the Lord Jesus central and live so as to show that He is their purpose for living. Romans 14:7-9 The future life to come is gift. John 6:63, Romans 6:23, 1 Cor 15:45, Eph 2:8-10
This is how you will know that the living God is among you and that he will certainly drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites and Jebusites. - Joshua 3:10 NIV
Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." - Matthew 16:16 NIV
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. - Acts 17:25 NIV
As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. - Romans 4:17 NIV
I lift my hand to heaven and solemnly swear: As surely as I live forever, - Deuteronomy 32:40 NIV
Although they say, 'As surely as the LORD lives,' still they are swearing falsely." - Jeremiah 5:2 NIV
If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath, all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to the dust. - Job 34:14-15 NIV
"You shall not murder. - Exodus 20:13 NIV
I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I the LORD have spoken." - Ezekiel 5:17 NIV
The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. - Genesis 4:10 NIV
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" - Matthew 4:4 NIV
For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. - Romans 14:7-9 NIV
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life. - John 6:63 NIV
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23 NIV
So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. - 1 Corinthians 15:45 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV
