Luke 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. 36 Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means "son of encouragement"), 37 sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles' feet.

In the above passage, the people sold their land and brought the profit to the apostles. The people were of one mind and one heart. They were focused on each individual having what was necessary to survive. They understood the teaching of Jesus. He said great is your reward in heaven. Having possessions on earth will hinder our reward in heaven.

God changes the name of the called. He called Abram; Abraham. He called Sarai; Sarah. He called Jacob; Israel. He gave John the Baptist's parents instruction on his rearing and name. Mary was also told to call her son, Jesus. The apostles continued this practice and changed the name of Joseph from Cyprus to Barnabas.
God calls those willing to be molded and changed. Are you being molded? Is it time to show the world the name God calls you? We can find our power in prayer.
