Family Structure

Noah had three sons. There names were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Due to his wicked behavior, Ham became the cursed Canaanites.

Abraham was married to Sarah. She gave birth to Isaac. Sarah became impatient waiting for God and gave Hagar her slave to Abraham. She gave birth to her son Ishmael. After the death of Sarah, Abraham took another wife. Her name was Keturah. She gave birth to six sons. From these sons came the Asshurites, Letushites, and Leummites.

Abraham traveled with his nephew, Lot. His fathered the Moabites and Amnoniites.

Isaac became the father of twins; Esau and Jacob. Esau had twelve sons. Esau became the father of the Edomites. Jacob fought with God and his name was changed to Israel. He had twelve sons who became the Israelites. The Israelites were the chosen people of God.
