Purple: The color was obtained from the Mediterranean mollusks.[1] The mollusks are an invertebrate. It looks like a snail with shell on its back. The glands of the insect were boiled in lead vats to make the dye.

Reading through the Old Testament, I have seen colors and numbers making an important appearance. The main colors are red, blue, and purple. The other important subject are numbers.
Two (2) Basic family unit
Three (3) Trinity of Persons in the Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit)
Four (4) sides of a square, symbols of completion, biblical references. Four rivers in the Garden of Eden, four living creature, four horsemen
Five (5) and Ten (10) and multiples of five and ten Commandments, plagues, Patriarchs, 10 coins, 10 virgins (5 wise and 5 foolish) Ten signifies completeness
Six (6) six days to work, six years to serve as a servant. Six is closely associated with man.

Twelve (12) elective purposes of God. Twelve tribes, months, hours, apostles
Forty (40) history of God’s mighty acts. Forty days of rain, years wandering in the wilderness, age of maturity
Seventy (70) Messianic redemption was to be accomplished. Seventy descendants of Noah, person to Egypt, elders appointed by Moses
Six hundred sixty-six or Six hundred sixteen (666 or 616) the chaos monster (Rev. 13:18)[1]
